2019 Week 3: As 2019 gets into full gear, as hoped, there appears to be better times all around.  Ronan and Isobel continue to receive school recognition.  Ronan
started basketball season with by making a lot of points and having a lot of fun.  Jen had her last chemo treatment, an emotional moment for her.  Steve and
Isobel enjoy a rights of passage Father/Daughter dance.  Meanwhile, Roxy wonders why grandpa does not appear all there.  Dave, Paula, and Hoah look eager to
start an amazing new year.  For me, say good bye to old new, hello new knee.  I hope the surgery goes well.
2019 Week 1:  The wheel of life keeps moving and we all are on the wheel.  The first news of 2019 was the passing of a cousin Jeanne and I knew
well, Michael Maffei.  I will never forget him, he was one of a kind.  RIP Michael, you will be missed.  The next bit of news was my receiving my results
of the 23 and Me genetic test.  Genes tell the story, and as I continue to find pieces of my past, this part was very interesting and amazing.  I have
posted the summary on this page and my PDF Books page.  However, the pdf file does not show the medical results.  Happy to say, for the most part,
I have good genes.  And finally, as traditions fade, new traditions take hold.  For the third year, we have traveled to Sacramento to celebrate the New
Year with David, Paula, now Noah, Paul and Josie.  We had another wonderful evening.  A tradition that helps set the tempo for the new year.  We all
hope it will be a wonderful year.  And this well be a year of celebration of Cancer Free Jen.
Week 1 - January 1, 2019 to January 5, 2019
Week 2 - January 6, 2019 to January 12, 2019
2019 Week 2: Start of a new year!  Jeanne and I toast to better things in 2019.  Some firsts to be sure  First wedding of 2019, my first USC basketball game
with friend Randy and cousin Robert.  USC beat Stanford.  Then on to CES 2019.  Lot of new things to see including 8K TV's, Human size drones, wall TV's,
roll up TV's, tons of Google Home items, and many many more items to enjoy.  We tried some new restaurants (a 50's style and a German style).  New
outlet shopping mall.  Enjoyed Ryan's music again.  And from the side of highway I15, we could see the new Las Vegas Raider's stadium.
Week 3 - January 13, 2019 to January 19, 2019
2019 Week 19:  Our granddaughter Isobel celebrated her First Holy Communion last week at the San Carlos Church.  Many family members attended.  On the same day, David enjoyed the best hockey game ever
and I did a wedding at the Clement Intercontential on Cannery Row in Monterey.  What a busy day.  Oh, lastly, I did a wedding during the week and learned what my first name would be in Iranian.  Groom was from
Iran, bride was from Russia, go figure.
Week 4 - January 20, 2019 to January 26, 2019
2019 Week 4: First and most important, Thank you Jeanne for being a Florence Nightingale for me.  I cannot thank my wife enough for every
moment she has given me care over these last two weeks.  I love you Jeanne.
I get emails from a lot of vendors, but this one I had to share.
From Hawaii Hangovers. The best list of resolutions I have seen in a long time.  Next set of photos, my view, my progress this week.  Today, I was
able to shower and shine, what a difference that makes in how you feel.  Then to cap off the day, One, yes, one glass of wine.  Though officially
off all pain meds except Ibuprofen, there is no reason one glass can hurt.  #5 says it all.  "Look for Paradise in Everyday LIfe.:  Aloha,  Here's
hoping my progress continues through next week.  (Surgeon follow up visit).  Oh, one photo show my Physical Therapist Matt, helping me
progress.  He is a super PT.  Thank you Matt for all you have done.
Week 5 - January 27, 2019 to February 2, 2019
2019 Week 5:  You know you are feeling better and getting better when:  You can travel to Concannon for a wine tasting tour with your daughter and cousins,
your youngest grand daughter isn't afraid anymore, and you do your first post op wedding.  My Physical Therapist is very happy with my progress.  This week, I will
see my doctor for his observations.  Thank you for all the well wishes.  Though I am not 100%, I am improving daily.
2019 Week 6: Another week in knee replacement recovery.  Determined to do things, Jeanne took me to see Stan and Ollie.  I have wanted to see
this movie since I heard about it.  Laurel and Hardy is my favorite comedy team.  I was very pleased with the actors that re created Stan and Ollie.
Back home, I started my out of home physical therapy.  To top off the week, look at that ballerina, my grand daughter Isobel.  Amazing!
Week 6 - February 3, 2019 to February 9, 2019
Week 7 - February 10, 2019 to February 16, 2019
2019 Week 7:  Relief is when you start to get back to "normal" whatever that might be.  I started doing weddings again, relief number 1.  Other photos this
week thanks to Jen, Dave, Paula and Jeanne.  Roxy gives me second looks since I am not usually in the car when Jeanne picks her up.  I was on my way to
therapy.  Ronan continues winning ways at basketball as sister Isobel cheers him on.  David, Paula, and Noah head to the snow for Noah's first experience at
the white wonder.  Seems like every visit to the physical therapy place, I get a little better.  From a numbers point of view, I have gone from a 90 to a 100 to 111
today.  The goal is 120 within the next two weeks.  Thursday was Valentine's Day.  Happy Valentines to all Valentines.  Jeanne and I went out to dinner and
naturally there are flowers and candy.  Friday morning after therapy, I was told to take time to elevate my knee and ankle above heart level for an hour or so
twice a day.  So this week, one might say, visions of snow is better than visions of toes.  Roxy checks on me from above.
Week 8 - February 17, 2019 to February 23, 2019
2019 Week 8: Happy 69th birthday to me.  Of the gifts received, some are very special.  Cousin Frank liked one of my photographs so as a gift, he did a painting of the photo.  With that, his
parents made a shot glass of the photo.  I was moved.  But topping that was the announcement that I will be a grandfather again, number 5!  Dave and Paula are expecting.  What a
blessing.  Add that to my other beautiful grandchildren, what more can a grandfather ask? As for my knee progress  I started to BBQ again and it felt good.  Then on Saturday morning, I did
five weddings at Salinas Valley State Prison.  It is good to get back to my fickle "normal."
Week 9 - February 24, 2019 to March 2, 2019
2019 Week 9:  A week of "Firsts."  Ronan's and fellow basketball team mates won first place in their league. Contrats.
Fortunately, Jeanne and I attended the game.  Next is the amazing "First" photograph of our newest grandchild.
Congrats to Son Dave, Paula, and Noah, for the newest family addition.  Steve and Jen were able to attend their "First"
Derby dinner.  And finally, my "First" photograph of my new knee.  Note the scar is so fine, not like a war zone.
2019 Week 10: This week was special for sure.  But then one needs to see the special in life.  Started out with a great report from both my physical therapist and my doctor.  I am ahead
of the curve on my knee progress.  So I celebrated by making a "Fatty."  A pork sausage roll with cream cheese, peppers, onions, wrapped in a bacon weave.  OMG!  Then Roxy decided
to take a nap on "PA."  Don't get many of those from this cutie.  I have five grandchildren now and there are special relationships with each of them.  Life is Grand!  Like in grand
parents.  Also had breakfast with my long long time friend Steve. He and I have been friends since 1972.  We have tons of memories and we also have a very special friendship.  Finally, I
was able to attend another USC function.  I was amazed at the changes on the campus.  Wow.  I left USC in 1971.  I am fortunate to be able to return to USC many times.   Thanks
especially to cousin Robert and friend Randy.  A special thank you to Randy this trip.  He made it extra special.  We compared knee notes.  lol..
2019 Week 11:  Happy Birthday to my grand daughter Isobel.  She is becoming a very
talented young lady.  Funny this week is storyline. zz My Grandson Noah notices
something.  He sees his reflection in the TV.  He calls Grandpa and asks, "Hey Grandpa,
how do you get rid of a cowlick?"  My answer, "Haven't got a clue Noah."   Yep, we share
the cowlick.  I am 69 years old and still have a cowlick.  lol.....  Good news is, I still have
hair at my age.  And I am thinking, no wonder my son Dave wears his hair short.  lol....
love both of you big time.  This week, my first workout at the gym since surgery.  Oh boy,
did I feel it in the afternoon.  But you know, I will be back at it tomorrow.
Week 11 - March 10, 2019 to March 16, 2019
Week 12 - March 17, 2019 to March 23, 2019
2019 Week 12: As I recover from knee replacement surgery, I am doing more weddings.  On Saturday I participated in a Native
American Wedding ritual.  Then sadly, I learned about the sudden passing of a recent bride (I preformed the couple's wedding only 5
months ago.  In the afternoon, I did a beach wedding, the first in months.  In total, four weddings that day.  LIfe in all it's changes and
wonders, beginnings and endings, Life's Cycle.  For me, though getting older in my cycle of life, I have four wonderful grandchildren
and one on the way are constant reminder of the best part of life.  Love for today.  Displayed in the art style only a child can give
Noah's hand prints, Roxy's school art.  Isobel and Ronan's hand made birthday cards.  The best job in life is being a grandfather
who is loved by his grandchildren and on occasion, is trusted to hold a grand daughter's dolls.  She kissed them goodnight and
tucked them in "safely."  Where?  On me!  That's trust and love.
Week 13 - March 24, 2019 to March 30, 2019
2019 Week 13:  And her name shall be Abigail Grace Leggett.  Our newest bundle of joy on its way.  Noah will be a "big brother."  Thank you David, Paula, and Noah for sharing the news with a
"Reveal Cake."  Thank goodness for Apple Face Time.  Sharing the news can be a super personal event.  Jeanne and I celebrate with a bottle of Blumond (a blue sparkling wine from Florence
Italy).  On Thursday night, we joined cousins and friends at the Carmel IL Fornaio for a wine maker's dinner.  While in a conversation with the couple next to me, I learned of the passing of John
Boekenoogen.  From that moment on, the meal and wine was just not the same.  Jeanne and cousins Rich and Angie were saddened too.  We have know John for a long time.  John was the owner
of Boekenoogen Wines and Vineyards.  We have been wine club members for years.  Daughter Jennifer and son David are also wine club members.  John was truly a most giving person.  He
treated everyone with kindness and always gave so much more to his wine club members than any other club.  I always thank him after every wine club event.  And once I asked him why he does
so much for his club members.  He said it gives him joy to see so many happy people.   John will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.  RIP John, we miss you already.
2019 Week 14: It's officially Spring Time.  Time for BBQ's, wine, and Spring Recitals.
Isobel has danced for many years at the Carmel Academy of Preforming Arts.  Isobel's
best friend Cady has been a member as well.  Congrats to both young ladies for a
wonderful performance this week.  Makes parents and grandparents proud.
Week 14 - March 31, 2019 to April 6, 2019
Week 15 - April 7, 2019 to April 13, 2019
2019 Week 15:  Happy 3rd Birthday Roxy!   What a wonderful birthday.  The best gift is having the whole family celebrating
together.  The weather was awesome, the games were fun to see, and the food was party style.  Hot Dogs!  Everyone seem to have
a great time.  Front row left to right:  Wes, Roxy, Paula (With Abigail showing), Noah, and Dave Second row:  Jennifer, Isobel, and
me Back row: Steve, Jeanne, Ronan, and Richelle
Week 16 - April 14, 2019 to April 20, 2019
2019 Week 16:  Another step recovering from knee replacement surgery.  I was able to drive my monster
Mustang this week.  Another sign of recovery.  What a ride.  Enjoyed a bottle of Game of Thrones Wine to
celebrate the season premier.  Special moments.  I never have visited the Viet Nam Memorial we have here
in Salinas.  I was asked to do a wedding there.  I was impressed how nice the memorial was.  Many of my
friends had military service in Viet Nam.  Never forget!  And Roxy celebrated her birthday one last time at
our home.  One last piece of cake.  And as the last two photographs show, exhausting week for her.  Ahh,
when little ones sleep, they do look like angels.
Week 17 - April 21, 2019 to April 27, 2019
2019 Week 17:  Happy Easter week.  Nothing like back yard BBQ and grandchildren finding Easter Eggs and opening
Easter Baskets.
Week 18 - April 28, 2019 to May 4, 2019
2019 Week 19:  Started the week off right at the Monterey Wine Country fest with cousins Rich and Angie.  Meanwhile, David, Paula, and Noah was enjoying the
Honey Festival in Sac.   Then Sunday Jeanne and I went to the annual Rib Cook Off at San Juan Bautista.  Add a few extra photos from Isobel's First Communion
(Thank you Jen), and then salute to this years BBQ season.  Let the "Q" begin.

Doris Day
April 3, 1922 - May 13, 2019

One of my favorite movie stars
passed away this week.
I met her twice, her son once
when I was a manager with
Safeway..
What a lovely person she was
She will be missed.
Week 19 - May 5, 2019 to May 11, 2019
2019 Week 27:  Happy Independence Day - 4th of July !  We have a saying, "Though miles apart, close at heart."  So our family was in different places celebrating
the 4th.  But thanks to contributors, photographs show our family celebrating.  Our BBQ was small but typical, BURGERS and potato salad and all the trimmings.
Then some safe fireworks.  Dave and Jen and families had a fun day at the train museum in Old Sac Town.  It was a busy bbq week for me.  Chicken, burgers, beef
ribs (first time in a long time, yum), sausages, and more.  I love this season of bbq.  Pork shoulder coming next, then will be doing pork belly.  Dave, Steve, and I
enjoy BBQ and it's fun trying the different styles.  One of the nice things about doing weddings is the venues I get to visit and the people I get to meet.  Last
Saturday, I did a wedding at the Quail Lodge Meadows.  Super nice venue.  After the wedding, Jeanne and I had dinner at the Lucerna Restaurant in Carmel, a
Swiss, Germain restaurant.  And I had awesome Onion soup and a German meal ( Potatos, German Sausage, Red Cabbage, and Sauerkraut).  The wine was not
Germain, the title got me!  lol    Finally, after this holiday, my mind, heart, and soul is now focused on getting back to Maui.  Hence the wine bottle decoration.
Jeanne and I plan on celebrating her birthday and our anniversary at our favorite place to stay, the Royal Mauian.   Aloha.  Final thought for this week,  Honor our
country's flags.  Especially the first one, the Betsy Ross.   So many men and women have given their lives to keep our flags flying and our freedom alive.

Tim Conway
December 15, 1923 - May 14, 2019

I just finished watching a Carol Burnett Show
with Tim as a guest star.  I have always
laughed very hard whenever he was on TV.
Another great star has gone.  He too, will be
missed.
Week 20 - May 12, 2019 to May 18, 2019
2019 Week 20:  Happy Mother's Day.  So many changes over the years, but still a
wonderful memory filled holiday.  This week Jennifer did a Cancer Walk for LIfe.  She
is a survivor and she reflected on the loved ones lost due to cancer and the fortunate
one that have survived cancer.  This week, we lost to legends in the entertainment
field.  Both personal favorites, they will be missed.
Week 21 - May 19, 2019 to May 25, 2019
2019 Week 21:  May 20th, Happy Birthday Richelle.  Celebrating with her is Roxy and Wes, Jeanne and yours truly.
Richelle only requested my BBQ ribs (not as good as my son's BBQ, but pretty close.  Also his recipe of Mac and Cheese.  Saturday, Jeanne and I
headed up to San Francisco.  We met Maria and her husband Walt  We have not seen them in 40+ years!  Jeanne and I stayed in a room that has
a view of the San Francisco Int Airport.  I was able to see for the first time, the world's largest passenger airliner.  Air Bus 380.  We watched it
take off, amazing. Sunday the 26th will start week 22, the roll up to Jeanne's birthday.  We continued our stay in San Francisco to start the
celebration.
Week 22 - May 26, 2019 to June1, 2019
2019 Week 22: Continuing the long weekend.  Jeanne and I celebrated her birthday on a brunch cruise on the San Francisco Bay.  The next day, we joined cousins Angie and
Richard at Dominico's Winery in San Carlos for a pig and wine fest.  On Jeanne's birthday, Jeanne and I went to Phil's Fish House at Moss Landing, and finally Jeanne got her
birthday cake.  Happy Birthday Jeanne !
Week 23 - June 2, 2019 to June 8, 2019
2019 Week 23:  Happy Anniversary Richard and Jeanne !   And as per tradition, I give Jeanne one rose for every year we have been married.
This year, 47 roses !  Also this week, Isobel lead the school Mass and both Isobel and Ronan won school awards.  Congrats to them both.  Dave
and Paul get an extended weekend trip to Vegas.  Dave was treated to a dream car drive.  At week's end, we visited Dave, Paula, and Noah in
Sacramento.  Noah filled us with smiles.  Finally, he accepts "Pa" into his life with tons of love.  Roxy has her special way of sharing love with Pa
as well.  What a wonderful week.
Week 24 - June 9, 2019 to June 15, 2019
2019 Week 24:  We left Sacramento on Sunday after a few days of visiting with Son David, Paula, and their son Noah.  A wonderful visit.  Then on Monday our house was filled with our other
grandchildren for a five day visit.  Roxy took some photographs and like a lot of photographers, she gave her subject (me) props to wear.  Their week was filled with fun including slip and slide and a
trip to the Monterey Aquarium with Jeanne and Richelle.  Jen and husband Steve continue the cancer fight with positive attitudes.  Meanwhile, Noah gets a chance to experience his dad's and
grandfather's toy store.  Home Depot.   On an email I received this week was a photograph of our paradise Hawaii.  Jeanne and I hope to return to Maui Next May-June.  Can't wait.
Thank you to all the photo contributors this week.
Week 25 - June 16, 2019 to June 22, 2019
2019 Week 25:  I traveled to Sacramento to take care of a few property issues.  While there,
David, Paula, Noah, and Abigal were set to do a prenatal family portrait session.  I had my
photography equipment with me so we headed to a super nice ranch/park.  I took these
photographs hoping my rust would not show too much.  I took 280 photographs.   Even I saw
some sparks of the photographer I use to be.  Part of a photographic legacy I hope to leave
my children and grandchildren when I depart this life.  Meanwhile, back at the pool.  Noah
enjoys a veggie pop cycle.  When it's 103 degrees, this is the only way to go.
Week 26 - June 23, 2019 to June 29, 2019
2019 Week 26:  Nothing is more important than winning the war against cancer.  My daughter Jen is fighting
round 2 in this war against the monster.  Looking at this photo taken during a chemo session, she looks very well
and positive.  Though I know this war really wears her down.  Hang in there Jen, we all love you.  BBQ time is
usually a meditative thing for me, but this week, I had an assistant.  Can you tell she loves "Pa." ? Trying to
celebrate each day one way or another.  Wow, that's a big margarita!... Not really, just trick photography.  Sharing
a "Salute" to cousin Angie.  Angie and family are vacationing at Lake Tahoe.  Finally, Friday was "Pineapple Day."
Who knew?  However I did observe the day with pineapple from a can.  lol
Week 27 - June 30, 2019 to July 6, 2019
2019 Week 29:  For our family, it is normal to extend celebrations over a few get togethers.  Though the 4th was last week, we celebrated again.  This time, Jen, Ronan, and Isobel joined
Richelle, Wes, and Roxy over to our home for a BBQ.  Great day.  Later that week, I bbq'd Salmon, scallops, and tots.  Yum.  Thursday we went to iL Fornaio in Carmel for a wine maker's
dinner.  Cousins, Rich and Angie joined us.  Pictured is our four and the manager of IL Fornaio, Matt, and his wife, Leslie.  We have known them for years and we can't even count the
number of wine maker dinners we have attended.  Also pictured are the owners of the feature wine (Morgan).  Nice wine and pairing.   Good news, the skies are clearing on the Island of
Maui.   Sooooooo, I booked a vacation at the Royal Mauian next summer.
Week 28 - July 7, 2019 to July 13, 2019
2019 Week 28:   Commentary coming soon.   Lately, Jeanne and I take the Mustang out in search for a good Mexican
restaurant.  Last week, Moss landing.  This week, Jardines in San Juan Bautista.  It's fun for a Sunday drive in the
"tang."  This week, my State Corrections ID card was renewed.  I guess they like me visiting the prison to do
weddings.  Since deep background checks for a renewal are required, I guess I have stayed out of trouble for another
year.  lol.   Big News.  Maui wild fires.  Since our whole family loves Maui, it is a concern for all of us.  It's sad, but part
of nature.  Thankfully, no one was hurt.  Jeanne and I are planning on another trip next May/June.  Aloha
Week 52 - December 22, 2019 to December 31, 2019
Week 29 - July 14, 2019 to July 20, 2019
2019 Week 35:
August 29, 2019 R.I.P.  Uncle Joe.

Some memory photographs.

2019 Week 30:  Happy Birthday Ronan!   Looks like an awesome day to me.  Thank you Angie and Richard (cousins) for making this happen.  Great and wonderful hosts.  Thanks to all
photograph contributors.  After a visit to the Giants basebal park, Jen, Steve, Ronan and friends headed to Angie and Richard's home and joined sister Isobel, grandparents, Jeanne and
me.  And the Raggio family for a birthday party.  What a day.  What?  Isobel talked grandpa out of his keys to the Cobra Mustang?  Is this a sign to come?  lol
Week 31 - July 28, 2019 to August 3, 2019
2019 Week 31:  After much consideration and reflection, I have decided to pretty much retire Bayview Officiants as of February 21, 2020.  I will only take care of two
accounts going forward.  Why?  Well on February 22, 2020 I will celebrate my 70th birthday.   Gee that's old!  So I will reduce my time doing weddings and increase my
retirement time which will include extra time with my family.  By then, Jeanne and I will have five grandchildren and that will certainly keep us busy.  So "Salute" to
Bayview Officiants, and "Salute" to the future.   On January 1, 2020, www.bayviewofficiants.org will close.  Thanks to all the photo contributors.
Week 32 - August 4, 2019  to August 10, 2019
2019 Week 32:   Happy Birthday Noah.  After a 4D scan to see new sister Abigale, our family gathered at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate Noah's second
birthday.  What a wonderful day.  Everyone had fun.
Week 33 - August 11, 2019  to August 17, 2019
2019 Week 33: Started the week at the Santa Lucia Boekenoogen Wine Club BBQ.  We missed John
Boekenoogen, but his family is keeping up the tradition.  John's son Garrett told me to "Keep coming."  After
the BBQ, cousins Rich and Angie joined us at Hahn's Tasting room for a bottle of Chard and a great relaxing
view.  Big events this week, "Back To School."  All our grandchildren attended first day of school this week.
Meanwhile, Dave and Paula has a date to welcom Abby into the family.  Dave looks serious.  Jen continues her
courageous fight against the "Monster."  Keep winning Jen.  Finally, Robert and I traveled to Atherton to attend
a USC function.  USC functions are always fun and interesting.
Week 34 - August 18, 2019  to August 24, 2019
2019 Week 34: The end of summer, the beginning of school.  Roxy, Richelle, and Wes visit Thomas the Train in Santa Cruz.
Meanwhile, Ronan and Steve visits the car show in Monterey.  I drove my Mustang to Salinas Valley State Prison for the first time
(weddings) due to neighborhood "Car Wars."  New neighbors moved in with 6 vehicles, street parking is now first come, first
serve.  Roxy started school this week.  Now all the grandchildren are in school except soon to be born Abby.
And just because they are cute, a few candids of Noah and Roxy.  Looks like Roxy loves the pool too. Thank you to all photo
contributors this week.
2019 Week 39:  I am declaring September  "Birthday Month!" No sooner finished celebrating
Jennifer's birthday, then. WOW!  My son David and his awesome wife gave birth to my 5th
grand child.  Abigail Grace Leggett.  8 Pounds, 19 3/4 inches long a 11:26 PM.  Mom and baby
are fine. Then brother in law John visits his new grand child in Ohio. Started the week with
Jen and family at the Wharf at Monterey for birthday dinner.  Ended the week with a dinner
celebrating Abby's arrival.  Oh, Son David's birthday is on September 30th.  See, told ya.
Congrats to Paula, David, and thier son Noah for the new family addition. Love you all big
time.
Week 35 - August 25, 2019  to August 31, 2019
Week 36 - September 1, 2019 to September 7, 2019
2019 Week 36:  We enjoyed the annual VIP meal at Boekenoogen's Bell Ranch Vineyard this week with daughter Jen and her high school friend, Shelly
Crabtree.  A very relaxing and enjoyable morning.  We celebrated my brother in law's birthday doing a little back yard bbq.  Happy Birthday John.  From
previous week, Contrats to niece Katy and her husband Matt for the newest addition to their family (John's daughter), Tinelle Antonia Lynette.  Finally,
one never knows what one might see from a second story bedroom.  Racing cars are always a problem on the road behind us.  One was certainly a looser
this time.  Both occupants were hospitalized.  Stop drag racing and live.
Week 37 - September 8, 2019 to September 14, 2019
2019 Week 37:  This week, Uncle Joe was laid to rest on Monday September 9th.  RIP Joe, you will be missed.  Jeanne and I enjoyed grandparents day at
Ronan and Isobel's school.  Mom Jennifer was proud of her children.  Ronan gave a reading at the special Mass.  We visited their classrooms, and was soon
joined by Aunt Richelle, and cousin Roxy.  The day was very special and nice.
Week 38 - September 15, 2019 to September 21, 2019
2019 Week 38:  Happy Birthday to our daughter Jennifer.  These are past photographs.  To be continued
2019 Week 44:  After 12 years of preforming wedding ceremonies, I am closing Bayview Officiants to public weddings.  I will
still do weddings at the prison for the duration of my contract with them.  After 4 years working for another wedding company,
I started my own company and I have been really successful.  Over 1100 weddings in almost 9 years.  But due to ailments from
aging, it's time to slow down.  So "Game Over" for the wedding business.  I intend to spend more time cleaning, traveling,
visiting family, and especially enjoying a little BBQ and a glass of red (even in the dark).  Above is a photgraph of the first
wedding I did as a company, and some photos of the first week on my business.  Thanks to every couple I have worked with to
preform their weddings.  Who knows, if I get bored, I may return.  Mahalo and Aloha to everyone.
Week 39 - September 30, 2019 to October 5, 2019
Week 40 - September 29, 2019 to October 5, 2019
2019 Week 40: We traveled to Sacramento to see our newest family addition, Abby. So precious, we already are in love with her. Thanks to Paula, posted is a photo of Abby and Noah
at the same age. Happy Birthday to my son Dave.  Abby is his best present.  A day Dave will never forget. Ronan BBQ's his first steaks this week.  Nice Job Ronan.  Yum. First family
portrait of Dave, Paula, Noah, and Abby.  Complete, and wonderful.  A new life begins.
Week 41 - October 6, 2019 to October 12, 2019
2019 Week 41: My trip to Chicago and Notre Dame University.   Cousin Robert and I traveled to Chicago and met up with Randy and John.  Randy, a long time USC friend and his friend John.  The purpose?  To see USC play Notre Dame at Notre Dame.  We attended a USC Rally at the Navy Wharf in Chicago.  While there, we tried a few
famous places to have some famous Chicago food (Steak and Deep Dish Pizza, we missed the hot dogs).  We were fortunate to meet the USC Band Director Arthur C Bartner.  He is retiring this year.  He started at USC the year I attended USC (1970)!  After the rally, we did the Chicago Architecture Tour.  Amazing tour.   All the people
we met at both Chicago and South Bend were amazingly friendly.  Especially at Notre Dame.  Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.  Though we lost the game, we did very well against a top 10 team.  Robert and I enjoyed both a Tomahawk Rib Steak and a Famous Deep Dish Pizza (not on the same day).  Both were very good, but
not what I would call dreamy.  Give me a steak from my son Dave, my son in law Steve, brother in law John, or my own.  Maybe it's a "what you are used to thing."  Overall the trip was wonderful.  The only downer was the brrrrrrr cold weather.   Both the Chicago (and area) and Notre Dame pleasantly exceeded all our expectations
and help make this a great trip.   Note:  Between meals, Robert and I had a little down time so we went to see "JOKER."  A very dark and disturbing movie.  Thank you Robert, Randy, and John for friendship and a grand get together.
Week 42 - October 13, 2019 to October 19, 2019
2019 Week 42: This was a really rough and tough week.  Especially for my
daughter Jen (chemo) , my son in law Wes (accident), and myself (health). So I
decided to focus on the few nice things.  First, I preformed what could be my last
public wedding of 2019 at the 18th hole at Pebble Beach.  Thank you Kenneth and
Karina.  They made it my best paying wedding ever.  Mostly, the family was warm
and wonderful,  And second, all the photos from David and Paula featuring the
newest angel in our family, Abby.  Thank you Dave and Paula for the needed
smiles.
Week 42 - October 20, 2019 to October 26, 2019
2019 Week 43: The saga continues.  Pain was so bad, I had to go to Urgent Care before my Saturday appointment at Prime Care.  Next week,
ultrasound and a visit to  specialist. Meanwhile, all grand children are providing smiles.  School or Halloween?  Ronan, a Giants baseball player,
Isobel, center stage performer, Roxy, a vampire, Noah checking out train engineering job, and Abby looks like Kung Fu is of interest.  Thank you
parents for the photo contributions.  Love them all.
Week 44 - October 27, 2019 to November 2, 2019
2019 Week 52:  From our family to yours, Merry
Christmas.  Hoping next year will be wonderful.
Week 45 - November 3, 2019 to November 9, 2019
2019 Week 45:  One of the immediate benefits of closing Bayview Officiants is the
ability to catch up on some overdue visiting.  Jeanne and I traveled to Sacramento to
visit our newest angel in the family, her awesome big brother, and proud parents Dave
and Paula.  We went to Apple Hill and had a wonderful day.  Sorry for the delay in
posting, it's been a busy busy week
Week 46 - November 10, 2019 to November 16, 2019
2019 Week 46:  Cousin Robert, long time friend Randy, and I attended the USC Cal football game in Berkeley.  Much warmer
than Notre Dame and the final score was better for us.  It's been a difficult year and this kind of activity is a nice distraction
from the day to day stuff is a good thing.  Fight On!
Week 47 - November 17, 2019 to November 23, 2019
2019 Week 47:  Joined cousins Angie and Richard at a very nice restaurant in
Carmel to celebrate Angie's birthday.  Not nice to tell the age of a lady, so I wont.
Happy Birthday Angie.  Continuing my trek to solve my gout and BP issues, all is
going well.  I decided to add a pet to my household since all my children have.  My
pet's name is Louie (name after Louis XIII).  And finally, what a nice ending to the
week, USC beat UCLA.  Nice.
2019 Week 48: The best thing about Christmas is not the lights on the tree, but the lights our
grandchildren are in our lives.  Ronan and Isobel help trim our tree.  And thankfully, we have not had the
kind of lights at a recent accident. Roxy enjoys some computer time.  Dave and our newest memeber of the
family share smiles.  Yea, it's Abby's first Christmas.  Noah shares a moment with his new sister.  And yes,
USC wins it's last regular game.  Abby is dressed in USC colors.  And finally, Always my Christmas dream.
Relaxing on the island of Maui (coming soon).
Week 48 - November 24, 2019 to November 30, 2019
"Tis The Season"
Week 49 - December 1, 2019 to December 7, 2019
2019 Week 49: Jeanne and I took a quick holiday trip to Solvang, a quaint Danish town south of Santa Maria.  A time for a few moments away from the holiday rush at home.  Solvang is truly a Christmas Village.  Every
store and shop has a Christmas Tree and is usually decorated.  If you want some Christmas Spirit, visit Solvang during the Christmas Season.  This year we were lucky to see a parade, and a movie being filmed.  We had
dinner at Ally's, a quiet restaurant ranked the third most romantic place to eat in California by the Los Angeles Times.  It was nice, but maybe not that nice.  The trip was a nice time to "HYGGE."  Look it up.  lol   Merry
Christmas.
Week 50 - December 8, 2019 to December 14, 2019
2019 Week 50:  After leaving Solvang, we came home to a new tree in our home, an Advant
Tree.  This one features a different international wine for each day of Advant.  It has been fun
opening each door and enjoying a different wine each night.  Ronan and Isobel continue to
make parents and grandparents proud.  Honor role and special awards to both Ronan and
Isobel.  Then the honored student participated in the annual Christmas program.  Music and
awards, a nice Christmas Spirit upon this season.
Week 51 - December 15, 2019 to December 21, 2019
2019 Week 51:  This week, our sweet little Abby was baptised.  The nicest Christmas Present
This Year. We live for blessings such as this.  Congrats to Abby, parents Paula and David, and
little brother Noah.
